An Offer I Can‘t Refuse

Screenwriter Stephanie Mickus hasn‘t seen a lot of movies. While she‘s perfectly fine with this, other people seem to think her life is seriously lacking. She‘s decided that she‘ll finally watch some of the films the world thinks she can‘t live without, but only if she can talk about them on a podcast. Listen as Stephanie, along with co-host Aaron Hertzog and their very special guests have sometimes hilarious, occasionally serious, and always interesting discussions about movies, why we love the things we love, and why some things may not hit the same for everyone.

People are always telling me "I can't believe you haven't seen [insert name of some incredibly popular movie here]?" and "how can you be a screenwriter if you haven't seen (some other movie that has no real interest to me)" or "wait, you don't know that quote is from (some movie where a violent robot from the future talks in short, stagnated sentences?)" It happens to me every day. And it's annoying AF. So now, I've decided I'll watch these movies if...they make me An Offer I Can't Refuse (by agreeing to come onto this show to have a nuanced conversation about how I feel now that I have finally watched it...and perhaps making a donation to offset any problematic content or issues surrounding the movie.)Hosted by screenwriter Stephanie Mickus and stand-up comedian/screenwriter/"Stephanie's well-socialized emotional support human" Aaron Hertzog, An Offer I Can't Refuse aims to have conversations and how socialization, gender, and other socio-economic factors affect what movies we are drawn to.
